LensCrafters Uses Roblox to Educate Users About Eye Health
The optical retail brand brought new content to its Eye Odyssey metaverse experience.
In October 2023, optical retail company LensCrafters launched its Eye Odyssey Roblox experience, designed to educate visitors about proper eye care habits.
Now, the brand has launched a second season of content in the Eye Odyssey experience called “World of Optics.”
The Eye Odyssey experience allows people to visit a virtual version of LensCrafters’ Palo Alto, California flagship location, where they can complete a scavenger hunt to unlock access to the activities in the World of Optics.
This timed season will see five new mini-games added to the experience between now and March 2025.
To start, the Color Vision Island game is now available. Inspired by the topic of colorblindness and the Ishihara test (a test used to detect red-green color issues), the mini-game challenges players to move through areas by only stepping on tiles matching the correct colors and shapes. Players can receive a free piece of user-generated content (UGC) by participating in this mini-game.
Future mini-games will focus on topics like visual acuity, eye tracking, and depth perception. They’ll also allow users to earn free UGC.
Throughout the Eye Odyssey experience, visitors will receive timed pop-up reminders about the “20/20/20 rule,” which was designed to prevent digital eye strain. The rule will encourage users to look 20 feet away from their current position for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

The LensCrafters Eye Odyssey experience has received more than 350,000 visits since its debut.
