Littlest Pet Shop Roblox World Achieves 2M+ Unique Visits in First Month
The metaverse experience is part of the beloved toy brand’s relaunch.
Hasbro debuted its Littlest Pet Shop toy brand more than 30 years ago, allowing kids (and adults) to collect a huge assortment of adorable animal figures and playsets. Now in 2024, the brand has relaunched with new toys hitting store shelves this month.
As part of this relaunch, Hasbro, toy licensee Basic Fun, and Roblox development studio Suit Up Games worked to create a Littlest Pet Shop world on Roblox that allows players to complete activities alongside collectible pets.
Launched in December 2023, the Little Pet Shop Roblox experience allows players to collect living versions of the Littlest Pet Shop animal toys, who can follow them around the in-game environment.
Players can visit different areas in a colorful world, like a town and park. Each area has a variety of activities players can complete alongside their pets to receive in-game currency and experience points for their pets. As players complete specific activities, they can also finish challenges and earn achievements, which reward them with in-game content, including new pets. Players can also spend the currencies they earn on items in an in-game store.
Finally, each of the new Littlest Pet Shop toys includes a code that can be redeemed online for in-game content.
According to Basic Fun, the Littlest Pet Shop Roblox experience received more than 2 million unique visits in its first month of availability and achieved an approval, or “Likes” rating of 91% on the Roblox platform. Basic Fun said the game also achieved an average play time of 9.8 minutes.
"The Littlest Pet Shop experience on Roblox showcases the power of bringing together a beloved toy brand with an innovative way to immerse in and engage with the brand in the digital space," said Jay Foreman, CEO of Basic Fun, in a press release. "We couldn't be more excited about this phygital experience and look forward to revealing more exciting integrations over the coming year."
